Hi, I'm Tucker Johnson
Thank you for visiting my profile! I'm Tucker, a dedicated Software Developer with a strong foundation in full-stack development and an expanding expertise in API and cloud technologies. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of St. Thomas and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Software Engineering at the same institution.
A guiding principle that I live by is inspired by Disney's Meet the Robinsons: "Keep Moving Forward." This mindset drives my commitment to transforming stakeholder requirements into efficient, long-lasting solutions. I currently work as a front-end developer at an innovative company called Collabetive, where my role enables me to contribute to many projects that come that comes through the door.
As I build both personal and professional projects, I’m committed to growth by exploring new ideas, asking meaningful questions, and, most importantly, creating impactful solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible.

Professional Experience
Software Developer at Collabetive
Current PositionAs a member of the development team at Collabetive, I focus primarily on front-end design and development for their flagship BluStar product.
- Spearheaded the user interface development of BluStar's AI Search feature, implementing core UI components and simplistic front-end logic
- Lead various UI/UX improvement initiatives across the BluStar platform, enhancing user experience and interface functionality
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure cloud configurations, SQL queries, and user interface issues
- Contribute to backend development efforts, addressing and resolving system bugs as needed
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality software solutions
Web Development Intern
University of St. ThomasDuring my undergraduate studies at the University of St. Thomas, I gained valuable hands-on experience:

Academics
As a passionate software developer with a strong academic foundation, I blend theoretical knowledge with practical experience in both front-end and back-end development. My journey in technology began at Normandale Community College, where I discovered my love for development through the art of creating fun and interesting projects from scratch. At the time there was no such thing as AI, so I had to do it all myself!
I went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas with a B.S. in Computer Science, maintaining a 3.9 GPA. My undergraduate studies encompassed web development, database management, creative coding, computer architecture, algorithms, and UI development, to name a few. To further specialize in front-end development, I completed Meta's UI/UX development course through Coursera.
Currently, I'm pursuing a Master's in Software Engineering at the University of St. Thomas while working as a software developer. My professional focus lies in front-end development, particularly in streamlining user interfaces and creating visually appealing designs that enhance the user experience.
Looking ahead, I'm excited to pursue Azure/AWS Cloud certifications and develop full-stack personal projects using some of my favorite technologies including React, Python, C#, JavaScript and Java. If there is one thing that drives my professional development, it's my passion for creating innovative solutions that make a real impact on people's lives.
